Our Personalized Support Service

Through the Personalized Support Service, our qualified staff conducts searches for available clinical trials based on requested criteria, and this service is free of charge. The results of this search, presented in the form of a report, allow patients and health professionals to initiate or facilitate discussions regarding a potential participation in a clinical trial. The team of health professionals at Clinical Trials Quebec provides support in finding clinical trials; however, the decision to participate in a trial must come entirely from the patient, following a discussion with their health care provider.

Personalized Search for Clinical Trials

Discussion with the Treating Medical Team

It is essential for the patient and family to discuss the search report with their treating team to determine whether clinical research is to be considered and to identify which clinical trial would be suitable for the patient.

Continuous Search Service

Since there is a possibility that no clinical trials meet your search criteria, you can sign up for our Continuous Search Service to receive an update if some clinical trials become available. A new request can also be initiated if your search criteria change.

Our Mission

Clinical Trials Quebec’s mission is to facilitate access to clinical research for all users with the help and support of the Government of Quebec. We support patients and their families, as well as health professionals in their efforts to learn about clinical research opportunities and limitations.

About Us

The team of health professionals at Clinical Trials Quebec aims to facilitate the communication between health care teams and patients wishing to participate in a clinical trial. Thereby, we work with the Ministry of Health and Social Services, the institutions in the Quebec health network, as well as with clinicians, researchers, patient groups and other experts in the medical and scientific fields.
We also aim to improve the public's knowledge of clinical research in order to make Quebecers aware of the role and importance of research in their health care system.

The Importance of Clinical Research

Science is a dynamic field. Medical innovation is at the heart of treatment avenues for patients. Canada and Quebec are popular locations for research and many clinical trials are launched here every year.
Clinical trials are research studies conducted with patients to evaluate or optimize new treatments or new ways of combining and administering existing treatments. By evaluating new treatments or new combinations of treatments, each study is designed to identify options to treat patients more effectively or improve their quality of life.
